Last week we flew back to the UK for a long overdue fix of family, shopping and glorious English weather
Our first stop was Manchester (where i'm originally from) and decided the perfect place for some Sunday shopping and lunch would be Altrincham Market
Iv visited the markets before, but it never gets old with so many stalls new and old each week all of which are independent. They also have different stall themes for every week of the month such as Craft, food, vintage and design.
They have everything from fresh artisan bread from Lovingly artisan (the sourdough is exceptional) to home made pies.
And you can get the BEST coffee ever from Market house Coffee.
There are so many places to choose from to eat in and around the market you are spoilt for choice. We chose to eat at The Con Club. I'm told they do an excellent roast dinner, but I chose the roasted caponata with buffalo mozzarella.
We went crazy for these Halloween cactus... super cute don't you think.
Seeing all of the autumn shades and pumpkins was really getting me into the autumn vibe, aside from Christmas its my favorite time of year
And you can find the most beautiful flower stalls...
Amongst them is Chloe Robinson designs and she has the most beautiful flowers. Its one of my favourite stalls to visit
Another absolute favorite of mine is A Vintage Affair, and iv been lucky enough to find some beautiful treasure over the last year from this beautiful stall
Everything is beautiful and individual and it has something new and different every week
If there had been anyway I could have gotten this crystal home with me id have had it all ...
Living in Spain has really given me a new appreciation for those gorgeous shades of Autumn ...they are heavenly
Even my little nephew Chase had a lovely time...
If you haven't yet visited Altrincham market I highly recommend it, its such a lovely place
For my final post on our adventures in San Francisco we discovered Lombard street. If you put places to see in pinterest, you'll likely stumble upon this unique little gem. Its apparently the worlds Crookedest Street
Tourists visit from all over for the amazing views from the top of the bay
Surrounded by Russian Hill mansions and perfectly manicured landscaping and flowers, it can be one of the city’s most scenic streets (when its not filled with tourists)
I loved the hydrangeas lining the roads. Dress is Mango, bag is Chanel
North Beach, Chinatown and Fisherman’s Wharf are all within short walking distance so its a good spot to add into your itinerary
Another lovely thing about San Francisco are all of the lovely flower stalls.
Beautiful Roses are everywhere... couldn't help but photograph them all
I found a super cute flower stall that made the most incredible vases of flowers, they were to die for!
How gorgeous are these arrangements?
So we got to put a tick on our bucket list with this one
And this was a big tick for the hubbs especially as he has long marvelled at the engineering of the bridge
We set of on a little adventure over the bridge, with the promise of the cutest town once we made it across
The day was fresh and crisp and the fog ensured I took some really atmospheric shots of the bridge
And its really not too log a walk. Of course you can choose to take a bike
Once over the bridge, we started to see what people had been raving about
The prettiest little town was just around the corner.
The view of San Francisco from the waterfront was breathtaking. Its hard to believe the hustle and bustle of San Fran is just an hour away
We found the cutest restaurant to stop for some lunch by chance. What a gem Scoma's is! Floating right out over the bay...
Its a little piece of heaven... Romantic and serene at the same time
As you can imagine it serves the freshest seafood ever... and the deserts are not bad either
