If you have followed me for a while, you'll know I'm fanatical about 2 things... Jo Malone and flowers. As I absolutely love peonies, and my favourite scent in the world is Jo Malone peony and blush suede I figured, why not combine the 2 and share with some of my favourite people for an evening of candlelight and cocktails. I managed to capture a few images to share with you too before retiring the camera for the rest of the evening.
As it was also the last week for peony's, it was even more reason to go out with a bang.
This week I picked up the Chanel Les Beiges Eau de Teint ready for summer. Im such a massive fan of the SOLEIL TAN DE CHANEL that I had to give this ago. Spending the majority of my time travelling abroad in hotter climates I was looking for a versatile product that could be worn alone for when the temperature rises or with foundation in the evening.
I found it to be super easy to use, just squeeze a amount onto the back of your hand and use the (super cute) brush provided to gently apply. You can used this all over the face, or just on specific areas. It gave me a healthy, lightweight glow which felt amazingly hydrating as well as blurring and smoothing my complexion.
Paired with a touch of concealer, lashings of mascara and a dab of lip balm all finished of with my beloved tan de soleil Chanel and I have an effortless but super summery and chic make up look for Summer.
I can tell already that this is going to be my absolute makeup bag hero this summer, i'm so glad I gave it a shot.
Do you have a go to summer make up look?

I have to tell you about the most amazing pedicure (actually pedicures, as iv had a few here now) I have ever had. This is not a sponsored post, just good old information sharing. In my opinion, there is no worse way to waste your money than on a bad pedicure. It is so disappointing and unfortunately so common. But all this being said, there is nothing more satisfying than perfectly manicured feet and toes. Enter... Cowshed. Cowshed isn't so special just because its perfectly styled with pink velvet sofas and vintage tubs to sink your feet into. Or because you are encased in the most amazing wrap around cushion with a cup of coffee while your feet are buffed and manicured to perfection, all while you watch episodes of sex in the city. It is that they actually get the job done. Not a trace of dead skin in site, and nail polish that literally lasts months. I have the Ultimate Cowshed Pedicure which is full Pedicure with a hydrating mask for feet followed by a relaxing scalp and shoulder massage to relieve tension. And its 75 minutes of heaven It doesn't come cheap, but typically not much in this world does. My reasoning is, the pedicure does the job right first time so you need less pedicures. In the long run saving not only time but money too. A special mention to Neelam at Selfridges cowshed, who never fails to make my feet look and feel a million dollars
Cowshed, you will have my feet forever... Belle Xx
I thought id share what some of my purchases from my recent girls trip to NYC. I personally love reading blog post like this and find them quite informative so I figured why not pay froward too.
There was so much shopping on this trip as it was all girls and i'm not gonna lie... it was like herding kittens at times with each of us running off into our favorite stores. We all definitely loved a beauty store so we spent lots of time discovering goodies.
First stop was Ricky's NYC
Here I picked up a bottle of Lanza healing silver shampoo on recommendation from the owner. Here's hoping it lives up to its billing! Iv tried quite a few silver shampoos so this is a new one for me, and will hopefully help keep the dreaded blonde brassiness at bay.
I picked up these No-Crease Bow Clips. The idea behind these apparently came from watching makeup artists use pieces of paper in between the blades of a hair clip to prevent creases and dents in models' hair. They remove the need for paper at all, and what's left is gorgeous hair just as you've styled it. Iv looked for these everywhere in the UK and couldn't find them so i was delighted when I spotted them.
I also picked up some wunderbrow, after a friend recommended it and I am loving it so far. It really helps to thicken the brows naturally and fill in any gaps. Its also wonderful at taming any unruly hairs and lasts a couple of days.
Next we went to my absolute favorite, Sephora. I don't know a girl who doesn't love Sephora, it is the absolute holy grail of beauty stores and any opportunity to shop in one and im there...
Iv used the beauty blender before (which I love) but my sister was raving about the real techniques blender so I had to give it a shot. I also found this super handy case to keep it clean and stop it messing up my make up bag. What a cool and totally necessary invention.
I purchased from a new brand to me, Sol De Janeiro. The Ipanema sunset glow oil looked too gorgeous to miss out on. And smell's incredible too. Now I have it home i'm an even bigger fan and intend to wear this on all of my beach holidays and the whole of next summer (if I haven't used it all before than)
Two Tarte palettes (Tarlette in bloom and Tartlette toasted) also made their way into my shopping bag... The colors are both so perfect for autumn and just really spoke to me. As I haven't tried Tarte before I thought it was about time.
I also picked up a replacement Amore Pacific color control cushion compact. I first purchased this when I visited San Francisco a couple of years ago and have been a massive fa ever since. Its a light to medium coverage base with SPF 50 which is so hard to find, and can be worn alone for a natural look or under foundation to create the prefect base for your foundation. I'm actually in love with this product and fully recommend to anyone.
Finally we went to the american drugs store Duane Reade Walgreens. Here I totally stocked up on Ardell demi wispies and lash glue. I used them all the time and they are so much cheaper to buy in the states it was smart to stock up on them, right?
I had also heard that physicians formula butter bronzer was incredible so I picked on up along with the butter highlighter and shimmer strips eye shadow. I love all three items, but a special mention to the bronzer which absolutely glides onto the skin, and looks so lovely and natural on. I'm so pleased I picked it up. Oh and did I mention it smells of coconut...
If you are making a trip to the US, I definitely recommend picking up some of these treats. I have been so pleased with them
Belle Xx I thought id share with you my recipe for Lavender and rose petal bath salts. These make fabulous, thoughtful gifts for friends and also look great in jars in your bathroom. Not only do they look great, they are excellent for those days when you just want to soak in the bath and relax. Your skin feels amazing afterwards and the lavender really helps you get the best nights sleep. They also have the following benefits
I like to combine a few different types of salt, for their specific benefits, but also because the different textures add to the look and make the prettiest bathsalt. Start with Epsom Salts and Tidemans soothing sea salts, Both available at any health food shop, such as wholefoods. I purchased mine at amazon Next take magnesium flakes (great for the following)
Now take some dried Lavender. I actually picked this from my garden.I laid it flat on a wire rack on the windowsill and waited until it had dried. If you don't have any growing in your garden (or a friends/neighbours try your local florists. My secret ingredient which really brings these together is Loccitane relaxing essential oil blend Its a subtle blend of Lavender, Bergamot, Sweet Orange, Geranium pure essential oils has a delicate scent which helps to soothe the senses for a moment of pure relaxation, and perfect if you need a good nights sleep. Combine half the packet of each type of salt. You can save the rest for your next batch. Add in 10- 12 drops of the oil. Next, flake off the dried lavender petals into the bowl. Save a couple of sprigs for decoration. Add in a handful of dried rose buds, or petals If you cant find the rose buds (I picked mine up on a trip to Marrakech). Don't all of the ingredients combined look super pretty? Give it all one big stir and spoon into a pretty apothecary glass jar. You can also find some smaller jars to give to friends as gifts. Add some lavender sprigs on top for decoration. And there you have it... I hope you found this recipe useful and would love to know if you give it a try. Let me know below in the comments
Xx Belle For more beauty tips see here On our way to Amsterdam a couple of weeks ago, I spied out of the corner of my eye a perfect pop of pink at the Jo Malone counter. Well, it had my attention right away and I swiftly marched myself over. It was the new "Blossom Girls" Launch. In case you didn't know i'm utterly obsessed with blossom trees . And I'm utterly obsessed with Jo Malone. 3 new fragrances, Limited edition floral's in the prettiest packaging ever. BLOOMING PLUM BLOSSOM. PLAYFUL NASHI BLOSSOM. AND THE PRETTY SAKURA CHERRY BLOSSOM. The one that really got my attention was the Sakura Cherry blossom Cologne. Its described on the Jo Malone website as "A pretty Blossom Girl" (Hello, so me!!!). The lightness of spring. Pure and transient. Subtle layers of cherry blossom, rose and violet. Brightened with sparkling bergamot. And I couldn't agree more with the description. The top note is Bergamot (another of my favorite fragrances) Brightens with its sparkling, citrus freshness The middle note (or heart note) is Cherry Blossom Delicate and airy, captivating with the diaphanous softness of spring blossoms. And the base note is Rosewood which has a soft, woody sensuality. The combination is utterly captivating and feminine... I absolutely love it, sakura blossom is going to be my perfect spring/ summer scent! Belle xoxo There is no better way to unwind on vacation than with a massage as you may have guessed from my Spa days around the world page! If I was a rich woman, id play someone to massage me all day. In fact I spend most of my massages, wishing for the time to slow down ha ha
