Im going to tell you all about one of my favourite Parisienne Restaurants today I first heard about le grande velour while reading the book Julie and Julia (after seeing the movie, which I love) I can’t believe I had been visiting Paris for over 12 years at this point and have only just visited le grand vefour. What a waste. Because this restaurant is a game changer. They say first impressions are important, and if that’s true le grand before knows how to make them. Being greeted by Guy Martin himself, is certainly the way to going about making an incredible first impression I'm embarrassed to tell you this, but this was the first time I tried Brie. And what an introduction to this amazing and now one of my favourite cheeses. Triple cream Brie of dreams Now, to our absolute delight this restaurant is BIG on the sweet things. My husband and I have the biggest sweet tooth, so this was the deal sealer for us. Its not just the obvious sugar rush that drives our love for sweet things. For us, its the beauty and theatre that comes from deserts that drive our passion. Deserts are the grande finale, the feather in the cap and fireworks at the end of a meal. This menu had a lot of very spectacular fireworks....JUST YES! To further seal the deal on our love for this place we were served handmade chocolates and sweets...OMG! Dont even get me started on how beautiful the China is. Actually the most beautiful China Iv ever seen. I could not recommend a visit to le Grand Vefour enough. It has fast become one of my absolute favourite restaurants in Paris, which in city of such culinary excellence is saying something!

Whilst in my beloved home town of Manchester, I had to checked out the new kid on the block, 20 stories... for a whole number of reasons
As luck would have it, we managed to be in London for Valentines day this year which was a real treat... because London knows how to show a girl some love.
We are in the UK for a few days, before a little weekend way in Europe, so I get visit my old hometown of Manchester before moving onto London for the rest of the week
For some reason, breakfast is my favorite meal of the day... especially on a day where I can take my time over it and not have to rush. And if you have time to sit and enjoy your breakfast, you may as well find the cutest place possible right? Having seen pictures of Elan's to die for flower wall and baby pink suede sofas I headed down to Brampton road check it out for myself. There is no denying that Elan is Instagram heaven! It is SO pretty it hurts....just up my street! Totally lives up to its insta cuteness... with all of the things I love. Floral wall and canape, tick, Edible flowers on your food, tick, pink sofas, tick, swan coffee art, tick! The hardest part is resisting the temptation to eat all of those croissants Order a coffee and something from the menu and think about ways to re create that flower wall at home (well, that's what I did) Unfortunately, I had no insta hubbs so totally missed out on getting a shot of me in this floral setting from heaven (rolls eyes). He can redeem himself by taking me back... I ordered the pan fried banana bread with berries and coconut yoghurt. It tasted as amazing as it looked!!! And give me swan coffee art and I am sold. It was worth every single calorie, although probably not as naughty as it looks with all that lovely fruit and chia seeds I had a lovely morning at Elan cafe, both the service and the food were excellent. If you in the area I definitely recommend it for a fabulous coffee, delicious breakfast and a dose of inspiration!
Belle xoxo I'm taking you with me for the most exciting, fun, luxurious, stylish and incredible (and i'm not over exaggerating) Lunch! Fancy it? I had no idea we where we were having lunch, the only information the hubs gave me was that he had booked somewhere incredible for us... When we arrived at the Mandarin Oriental restaurant Moments, I knew I wouldn't be disappointed. Moments has two Michelin stars already for its cuisine inspired by Catalan culinary culture and is Managed by chef Carme Ruscalleda, one of the most famous chefs in Spain. The menu, is inspired by the Seventh art. 12 courses, in the theme of famous movies... how exciting. An experience that was not only beautiful and delicious but exciting and entertaining at the same time... time to take our seat at the cinema. To Start... Breakfast at Tiffany's. Served in the cutest way! Sobrasada Brioche, Mahon cheese and apple ham broth. Followed by (LEFT TO RIGHT) Mujeres al borde de un ataque de nervios 1988 (I Cant pretend i'm familiar with the movie, but the dish was amazing) Gazpacho. manchego, white and black garlic The godfather 1972 (colt, orange, eggplant) Titanic 1997 (marine elements , chantilly) Como agua para chocolate 1992. Quail in rose petals. 007 in octopussy. Rock octopus, cannelloni, potatoe, paprika Forest gump 1994. Mediterranean red prawn The wizard of oz. Red mullet, bell pepper and asparagus. For this dish, we were instructed to wear our glasses and watch the dish turn into the emerald city. Wow The most controversial dish... the silence of the lambs 1991 Suckling lamb, borsh, brain (I know) and katsuobushi. Followed by Ratatouille 2007, cheese selection with sweet ratatouille. Finding nemo. The serving of this dish was just amazing. A large fishbowl with ts own floating nemo. completely enhanced the theater of this dish. It was easy to see why it was a massive hit with the days guests Pulp fiction 1994. The famous $5 shake. Yes, it was every bit as amazing as it looked. Charlie and the chocolate factory. Chocolate, green tea matcha and olive oil. An amazing grande finale. If you haven't tried chocolate and olive oil, your not living! I really couldn't recommend an afternoon or evening at moments enough, its quite simply an unmissable experience. Impeccable, entertaining, unique and utterly delightful. My compliments to the chef indeed
