With fall just around the corner, there is no better time to take that last-minute family road trip before we are all stuck back into work and called back into school. After being locked indoors for a year and a half, many of us are looking forward to getting out in the world once again, and jumping into the car or a caravan just seems to be the right call for many of us.
Although we haven't fully recovered from the effects of 2020, it's still nice to have a way to get out of the house and on the road. So, here's why you should get out on a family road trip. Why You Need a Road trip in Your Life 2020 has been tough for many of us on so many different levels. So getting out of the house and just experiencing life on the road for the summer would be great for you and your family. Whether it's to see family or just enjoy a trip out of the house, a road trip has the potential to rekindle your love for travel. It can also help you unwind, disconnect for a while, and get away from the stressors happening around the world. It might do us some good to disconnect from the world and just concentrate on ourselves and reconnect with family and friends. What Makes a Great Road trip? This may seem like a simple question, but many factors make a great road trip. One of the most important factors is what you want to do on your journey. If you are looking to have a relaxing time and enjoy the scenery, you'll need to choose an area with some beautiful scenery and quaint towns. If you're traveling to see family, you can stop by on the way and enjoy the local experience. You can do the same if you're on your way to your chosen vacation spot. It is up to you when you're on a road trip. How to Prepare for Your Road trip When planning a road trip, it's essential to be well-prepared for unexpected problems like mechanical issues or weather conditions. If you're taking a car or a caravan, several services deal with car and caravan repairs that can help you before you leave to go on your trip. However, it's also a great idea to ensure that these types of services are available to you if you need them while you're on the road. Most service stations and stops offer repair services. Another factor that should be considered is your budget. This is because road trips, while often the cheaper option, are still relatively expensive. Your costs might be staying at hotels or needing to pay for gas, which could be a lot depending on your country. If you're traveling with children, you'll want to ensure that you have a way to keep your family entertained while on the road since boredom can take down the best of us. Finally, you'll also want to ensure that you have navigation sorted for your trip. Mobile applications such as Google Maps and Waze are helpful if you find yourself getting lost. Once you have these items sorted, you can get your family out into the world once again to enjoy the outdoors and give yourself the long-awaited vacation you've been waiting for and have dreamed about for months. When going on vacation you need to give a substantial amount of deliberation to how you are going to carry your cash whilst abroad. Too many people simply exchange their currency, and carry around a big wad of cash whilst away.
This is highly ill-advised. Instead, you should upload your funds to a pre-paid card, otherwise known as a cash passport, and carry your money this way. You can then use your card to withdraw money and pay for things whilst you are on holiday. Whether you are going on a fun-filled trip to Las Vegas or you’re looking for the best places to volunteer in Tanzania, this is something you should consider making the most of so you can protect your money. The benefits associated with opting to use a travel cash passport There are lots of benefits associated with opting to use a travel cash passport. One of the main advantages has to be the fact that this is much safer than the other methods at your disposal. After all, you are not going to be physically carrying money. Moreover, if you lose your card then all you need to do is ring the foreign exchange company who provided you with it. They will put a stop to the card that is lost or stolen, and they will issue you with a new one as soon as possible. In addition to this, cash passports are globally accepted, and therefore you will be able to use them no matter where you are visiting. This is especially beneficial for those who are travelling from country to country during their trip away. Not only this, but is worth noting that you can benefit from the best exchange rates too. After all, your exchange rate will occur when you load your funds onto the card, not when you spend your money. Therefore, you can wait for a favourable rate. Choosing from the wide range of cash passports available There are several different cash passports available today, but nothing compares to a Multi-Currency Cash Passport. This travel cash passport offers added benefits in comparison to the standard advantages already mentioned. The great thing about the Multi-Currency Cash Passport is the fact that you can upload up to seven different currencies on your one card. Your card automatically detects whereabouts in the world you are and thus uses the correct currency. If you are in a country whose currency is not featured on your card then don’t worry. The card will calculate what currency of the seven is best to use in order to give you the greatest exchange rate. This innovative travel cash passport is definitely the way forward for travel money in the future. As you can see, there is a lot that needs to be considered when it comes to carrying cash in another country. We highly recommend that you consider using a travel cash passport so that your money can be safe and secure. . Summer is a lot of people's favorite time of year, tanned skin, swimming in the pool, hot weather, ice creams, and spending time outside. There is so much to do and so little time to do it. Enjoying the summer can sometimes feel pressured and you are trying to think about how to enjoy yourself more than actually just enjoying yourself. Here are some ideas so you can have them planned and ready for the summer ahead so you can just sit back, relax and enjoy soaking up the vitamin D.
2020 has been a bad year for travel in general. Back in January, many of us had our breaks and getaways all planned out. Many of us were planning on jetting away overseas and enjoying some sun, sea and sand in far off locations. Chances are, by now, these plans have been cancelled. Many holiday providers, flight companies and other companies are no longer allowing these trips to go ahead due to travel restrictions that have been put in place as a result of the coronavirus and Covid-19 pandemic.
In the height of summer, when its too hot to even sit still... we escape the sweltering heat and head to the breezy beautiful coast of Atlanterra. It a favourite among the locals, for obvious reasons! in my view, one of the most beautiful beaches in Andalusia...I say "one of" because I have yet to see them all!
Like most of us during the Corona virus pandemic, I'm left during lock down to dream of the travel that we lost and the travel that we will do when all of this is over. Its always my favourite places that I wanderlust for... Provence, Italy and Marrakesh are all front of mind.
Snowsports
During the winter, snow sports are great to try when you're travelling. In fact, they're often the entire basis of a winter holiday. Skiing and snowboarding are just two options, with both alpine (downhill) skiing and cross-country skiing available. You can also try other sports from snowshoeing and tobogganing to ice skating and even dogs sledding. Mumbai, or Bombay as it once was, is India’s answer to Hollywood – a city of dreams and a city of massive contrasts. A city of rich and poor, inspiration and desperation, traditional and modern, old and new. Not surprisingly for such a vibrant city there are so many things to do in Mumbai!
The Hub's and I have developed quite the penchant for sniffing out local markets when we travel. There is something about the individuality and uniqueness of them that we have become quite enamoured with.
With a Sunday to spare in Berlin, we sought out the city's best offerings. |
