We all love a rooftop cafe... and Marrakesh does them with style and panache in spades Just off the famed Rahba Lakdima spice square is the lovely Nomad. Apparently it used to be an carpet shop (I love how everything in Marrakesh has a story) and its where the locals eat. Spread over 4 floors, but my advise is to keep going all the way to the top for the best views of the Medina and the Atlas Mountains The restaurant prides itself on its fresh local produce and is great for vegetarians and carnivores alike. I'm told that profits from the daily special go to charity During our trip we adopted a lets order everything and dig in and share philosophy. And it worked out wonderfully, as iv discovered im quite the fan of Moroccan food and wanted to eat everything We tried the amazing Chicken brochettes served with courgettes, almond couscous & house made harissa sauce, Lentil salad with roasted beetroot & goat’s cheese from Essaouira and the Chicken Tagine with apricots, dates, lemon, ginger and saffron And somehow managed to fit in the Courgette & Feta fritters too... oops I really cant recommend Nomad enough, its a calm sanctuary among the excitement of the souk with a great vibe.
Id love to hear all about your favourite places to eat in Marrakesh... Belle Xx
