If you follow my Instagram, you'll know that last New Year The Hub's and I travelled to Vietnam to celebrate New Year’s Eve. We have been to Vietnam before but to the centre of the country (as you know Vietnam is huge) On a side note, I know I haven't posted the previous Vietnam trip yet but I will! For this part of the trip (we later travelled to the little fishing village of Con Dao) we stayed at Hotel des arts Saigon... trust us to find a french themed hotel in Vietnam! It had the cutest rooms with great views of the city. We were both so pleased we chose to stay here, it was such a lovely hotel with the most incredible roof bar with views across the city. Despite being jet lagged Af, we got right out into the city with no time to waste to see what the city had to offer. On first views of Ho Chi Minh City I knew I was going to really like it here. Its a crazy, energetic, engulfing place with some of the most beautiful colonial architecture iv seen anywhere, mixed in with super modern buildings. The city really is an assault the senses and quite a lot to take in. We found a cute little cupcake cafe not far from our hotel so we stopped off to try some. I loved the beautiful hand painted facade and inside was super cute too with hanging birdcages everywhere. A bit like a secret garden filled with cake Everywhere we went, the streets were all dresses up ready for the New Years Eve celebrations! It was quite the spectacle. I'll be posting more from our adventures in Vietnam later this week so don't forget to pop back over!
Also if you haven't visited Vietnam before, I found this Vietnam travel guide really helpful from a wonderful Travel blog. Belle Xx
