A few weeks ago, the hubs and I went to Brighton for the weekend. It was such a nostalgic weekend as we used to visit quite often (my husband is from worthing, so this is his neck of the woods)
Its nostalgic for me as id never been to Brighton until I met Tony, so just being here reminds me of when we started dating nearly 15 years ago.
There really is something special about being by the seaside. The unique architecture here makes it stand out even more so.
Even the 80's architecture (i'm not always a fan) here is that little bit more exciting.
I find I have little areas that I frequent when visiting Brighton. The laine's (both north and south) are always on my list.
And the utterly magical and truly stunning Brighton pavilion is so unique and simply can't be missed ( literally, you won't miss it)
The Pavilion was built as a seaside pleasure palace for King George IV, and mixes Regency grandeur with the visual style of India and China.

We headed to our favourite Coffee place - Bond street Coffee for the best Cappuccino in Brighton ( pastry's are pretty epic too). Definitely worth checking out.
Before heading to my absolute favourite North laine's. The north laines are quite different to the south Laine's. They are truly unique and vibrant, in contrast to the more commercial south laine's. A mix of small, unique shops and independent traders. You can find clothing, fashion, gifts, services, arts, crafts, entertainment, shops, pubs, bars and cafes and lots of colourful buildings.
An absolute must is the north laine bazaar. It is a treasure trove of amazing finds. I found the most amazing vintage pink and gold dinner set here (so amazing I was happy to try and get it back to Spain on an air plane) which im sure will be making a feature on my blog soon :)
We finished our day with a cappuccino and cake at Jolliffee's. I really don't think there is much to rival a slice of Victoria sponge cake on a cold day in England...
