Yes, you did read the title correctly! I decorate our bedroom for Christmas every year! The way I see it, the more magic the better!
So I thought I'd share with you some tips on how I create this festive vibe. There is something about a cozy, twinkling, warm, and magical bedroom around the festive period that I absolutely love and hope you will too.
Usually during the festive season I am too busy traveling and running around decorating when I do finally get home finding any and every possible room, tree, door or free surface I can get my hands on that I don't actually have the time to share the finished decorations with you... unless its on Insta story's!
Last year was a perfect example of this, Months of work and barely any blog posts! When you are planning your wedding, there are many things you have to think about - from finding your dream dress, locating your venue and finding ways to have the perfect wedding day for less. If you are trying to save money, you may decide to take pictures yourselves as opposed to hiring a photographer. However, getting the perfect shots is much more than just grabbing your phone or camera.
With that in mind, here are some top tips for getting the perfect photos of your wedding. One of the things that became abundantly clear to me this year is that the most important things you can have (aside from a loving family) is a home that you truly love, is fun and you feel comfortable and safe in.
With many of life's distractions taken away - travel, the freedom to visit friends and family, social gatherings and even shopping... which I hasten to add is my ultimate downtime hobby. Our homes are now more than ever before the centre of everything!
As the self-proclaimed queen of Christmas... at least in my circle, I am. I'd hope I know a thing or two about decorating Christmas trees! On average, we dress 7 trees each Christmas in our home So if nothing else I get ALOT of practice.
With all of this practice, I thought I would pass on my learnings. Some of which are forged in the fire (my friends will never let me forget the time my Christmas tree fell over, fully dressed onto a ceramic floor taking some of my most beloved decorations with it) One of the things that has helped me personally to get through this very strange and unpredictable year has been self care and investing in my wellbeing both physically and mentally. This has meant lots of long walks... in the lockdown months that permitted and lots of home spas and pamper days.
We all know for a fact that women are the ones who mostly decide the wedding details. Men are just soldiers who have to follow the bride's bidding, right? In recent years, studies showed that men are now more involved in planning their weddings. Like women, they also want picturesque scenes, delicious canapes, and groovy music for their wedding parties.
But how about destination weddings? Various wedding coordination companies said that destination weddings are hotter than ever. Yes, couples still want destination weddings despite the threat of the coronavirus pandemic. As long as the states and cities allow their movement from one border to another, they don't have a problem planning a wedding miles from home. *AD/GIFTED
Beauty products for me, and im sure for most of us are the ultimate treat and pick me up. They never fail to help me feel good about myself and encourage the art of self love and care. So when I received a parcel a few weeks ago containing the most beautiful blushers and bronzers from Jolie Beauty to try out I was absolutely delighted and I haven't put them down since. |
