After a lovely afternoon tea at the St. Regis we headed onto the streets of Rome
This time we were seeking my all time favourite piece of architecture in Rome (perhaps anywhere), The Trevi fountain.
Ever since watching La Dolce Vita years ago (total must see movie) iv been obsessed
To me the trevi fountain is even more beautiful at night. Be sure to throw in a few pennies as legend has it that whoever tosses a coin in the fountain will return to the Eternal City someday... and here I was 10 years later
Of course it just wouldn't feel right to go to Italy and not pay a visit to the Colosseum, the universal icon of Rome. It doesn't matter many times you have seen it... Its the Rule
Nearby, check out the Arch of Constantine, which was built to commemorate Constantine’s victory at the Battle of Milvian Bridge in 312, and the Roman Forum.
It truly never fails to impress. How could it!
As the sun started to set and turned from brilliant blue to shades of pink we made our way to Dinner
We found somewhere cosy, rustic and romantic for some good food and conversion about the incredible week we had living the Italian dream
I really hope you enjoyed seeing and reading about our Italian Road trip. If you have any recommendations for our next trip to Italy, id love to hear all about them
Belle Xx
