Flower shopping in Saigon

We had the loveliest day, starting at Pat a Chou, a little french cafe serving the loveliest croissants and coffee before heading off to Ho Thi Ky flower market. If you follow me on Instagram you'll know that i'm absolutely crazy about flowers and any chance I get to be around them I take it. 

The hubs and I spent last New Years Day in Ho Chi Minh City after an amazing evening ringing in the new year at Hotel Des Arts Saigon. ​

 Ho Thi Ky flower market is a little way out from the main city centre, but if you are in any way a flower lover Id say its an absolute must do trip. To be surrounded by an abundance of such amazing flowers is just the most fabulous thing ever. Bucket after bucket are filled with roses in every shade imaginable. Sunflowers (The Hubs favourite), lotus flowers and orchids are everywhere. Its kind of like a Vietnamese Columbia road flower market.  

I spotted THE most beautiful shade of pretty baby pink roses and had to have them. As we were staying in Vietnam for three weeks I didn't feel like this wasteful as id get to enjoy them for quite a while. Have you ever seen a prettier shade of pink?  

Not only is it amazing to see all of the beautiful flowers, but its incredible to see the florists prepare and package the flowers. They were all so friendly, and warm despite not speaking a word of English ( and Myself not speaking any Vietnamese) 
The flower market is not really a tourist spot, they typically only sell to Vietnamese businesses and locals. But we had no problems purchasing,  

My dress was actually from Primark last summer but I found some similar dresses below. 

I really couldn't imagine a lovlier way to spend New years day !
