The average cost of a wedding seems to rise and rise each year as everyone clambers to create the perfect day for themselves and their guests. But when it comes to down to it, the question is- do you really need to spend tens of thousands to have the wedding of your dreams? In this post, we’ll talk about how you can get the perfect wedding for less. 1. Send Out Digital Invites Sending out invites may not be a huge section of your budget, however, it’s these little costs that really add up. It is quite easy to spend a few hundred on printing and posting your invites. Whereas you can completely forgo this cost by sending out invites via email. While it is nice to have an actual invitation, we live in the digital era and nobody would judge you for sending out a digital invite. Not only would it save you money, but it would also be environmentally friendly. 2. Make Your Own Wedding Decorations It is possible to save quite a lot of money simply by making your own wedding decorations. Again, decorations may seem as though they are inexpensive in the grand scheme of things, but to decorate an entire venue including table decorations, will soon very quickly adds up to a lot of money. 3. Opt For A Buffet Instead of a Sit Down Meal One way that you could save a considerable amount of money is by choosing to have a buffet instead of a sit down meal. People will be able to choose what they are going to eat and the food will still be great. 4.. Shop Around For Your Wedding Dress It is no secret that wedding dresses can be very expensive. And, whether you plan on having a designer gown or are happy with a dress that you can wear again and again there are plenty of ways to reduce the cost of your wedding dress. Head down to your local high street and see if you can find something that will look the part off the peg. You could even decide that you want to buy a second hand wedding dress. After all, the dress will have only have been worn once. The Things That You Shouldn’t Compromise On...
There are of course things that you shouldn’t compromise on. These include paying for a good quality wedding photographer and making sure that you hire a live wedding band. Firstly, a wedding photographer that is exceptional at what they do will be able to provide you with a lasting memory of the day. After the wedding is done with, you will have nothing but memories and photos to show for the day. Make sure that your photos are good enough to aid your memories. A poor quality photographer won’t capture the day. Secondly, a live wedding band will put on a good show. They’ll provide more of an atmosphere than a DJ might and will provide great value for money. If possible, try and see your wedding band in action before you hire them.
