Whether you’re the maid of honor, the bride’s sister, or even the bride herself, if you’ve been given the task (some would say chore) of organizing the bachelorette party, you might be wondering what you’ve let yourself in for. In the past, it was easy. Everyone met up for a nice meal and then went on for drinks and dancing at a club. And although this can still be an option, with so much more choice than ever before, making sure you have the right night planned can be a worry. You don’t want to let anyone down, and you want to make this party memorable for all the right reasons. If you’re struggling to find ways to even begin your bachelorette party planning, read on. Although there will still be plenty of decisions to be made, if you have these first considerations under control, the rest should fall into place a little more easily. Get A Guestlist If you’re not the bride herself, then you’ll need to speak to her about exactly who she wants to be invited to her bachelorette party. If her guestlist is a small one, that could mean you have more options for activities, and if the guestlist is a large one then you might need to rethink the kinds of places you can go. Not only will the guestlist help you to work out what kind of evening you are going to be able to plan, but by having the bride provide it you’ll know that there isn’t going to be any kind of conflict or problems. She’ll know who gets on with whom, so she’s the best person to ask. Even if the rest of the night is going to be a surprise, that element has to be the bride’s choice, upfront. Budget Whether everyone is paying for their own spot at the party or the maid of honor is treating them all, the budget is going to need to be thought about in advance. There’s no point in getting excited for a certain event or activity only to find that it costs far too much and no one is going to be able to do it. Have a frank discussion about costs with everyone involved, and work out a price that is going to suit each person. Only when you know how much money you’re working with will you know what kind of fun you can have. In some cases, it will be a huge blowout event, and in others, it will be much more reserved. As long as you have everyone there you want to be there, what you do is a later concern. Transport Once you know how much you have to spend, and assuming there is enough in the budget to arrange transport for everyone, it’s time to consider your options. Although transport isn’t a prerequisite, it’s much easier if you do hire a limo or look into bus hire for the night. This way, no one has to drive so everyone can have a drink if they want to, and no one will get lost or left behind.
It’s also a special little extra that can really make a great night even better – like the cherry on top of a cake, it’s fun and decadent. Plus, it means everyone can be together throughout the evening, and no one is going to miss out on a second of the night.
