This weekend my husband and I celebrate our 5 and 15! 15 years of being together, and 5 years of marriage. So I thought it was about time I shared some of our wedding photos right? We were married in Provence (our favourite place in the world) at the 15th century Chateau de Massillan. And it remains today our favourite day ever! We found our chateau on a road trip around the south of France, and instantly fell in love with it. So when Tony proposed we didn't even look at anything else, we both instantly knew that we would choose Chateau de Massillan. It was perfect in every way with just the right amount of glamour whilst also managing to be rustic at the same time! It had character and style in abundance. It was also important to us that it wasn't actually a wedding venue, as we wanted the occasion to feel intimate and unique. It actually felt like we had hired someones very beautiful home for the weekend and we could celebrate privately with our closest friends. As a keen photographer myself, choosing our wedding photographer was a high priority on our list of vendors to secure. Good wedding photographers typically get booked up way in advance so if you want the best options get in their quickly! Your wedding photos will carry the memory of your wedding for a long long time so in my opinion its in the top 3 in terms of importance. When we found our photographer Ian Holmes I knew instantly he was perfect for us. His style was exactly what we were looking for and I absolutely adore our images to this day (if you are getting married in either Paris or Provence I could not recommend Ian more... not only were his images gorgeous but he made everyone at our wedding feel comfortable and at ease with his fabulous sense of humour) My dress was by Vera Wang, and totally inspired by the dress Kate hudson wore in bride wars. I remember watching the movie for the first time and instantly knowing if I ever got married it would be exactly the kind of dress I would want. They say you truly chose the perfect dress if you love it after your wedding, and I can say that I actually love it even more than I did on the day! For wedding shoes, and this was another important one for me as i'm definitely a shoe gal I couldn't decide between two pairs from Christian Louboutin. So I wore both!!! Well, if you can't be bougie on your wedding day! Our colour theme was naturally pink (if you've followed me for a while you'll know i'm crazy about it) and gold and totally Inspired by our favourite french patisserie Laduree who also did our wedding cakes and deserts. My husband and I have always felt like the best weddings we have been to have been the ones filled with the couples personality and personal touches, which was exactly what we tried to achieve on our wedding day. From our favourite colour (luckily, we both love pink!) to our favourite country, our favourite patisserie and many, many more favourites. We managed to create a wedding that had so much depth and meaning to us. What more could anyone want from their most special day. Dressing gown HERE Spoken like a true bride, there were so many photos I wanted to share with you that I couldn't quite fit them into one post so pop back over later this week for Part 2 of Our Wedding
