As the bride, on your wedding day, all eyes will be on you. No matter how confident you are, this can be daunting for anyone and even more so if you have insecurities about your appearance. If you want to feel at your most confident on the day and and look stunning in your wedding photos, here are some prep ideas you can do in the leadup to your wedding.
Be the best version of you. It doesn’t matter what starting shape or size you’re at, chances are you’ll want to make some changes to your physique before your wedding day. Maybe your dress is tight fitting or shows off an area you’d usually cover like your arms and shoulders, improving your physique can help you to feel confident on the day. Your changes might involve weight loss to totally transform yourself, or just a simple exercise regime to tone and sculpt a little depending on where you’re currently at and where you want to be. If you work with a personal trainer you’re likely to achieve your goals more quickly as they can recommend exercises that will work well for the shape you’re trying to gain. Improve your skin and hair As the blushing bride you want your skin to be radiant and your hair to be shiny and beautiful on your wedding day. Starting with skin, if you already have skin issues such as acne or dermatitis, visit your GP to get this under control. From there, build a skincare regime that works for you or visit a spa and have a facial as they will be able to give you product recommendations based on your skin type. Stick with it, and don’t make any changes to your skincare routine in the weeks leading up to your wedding as you don’t want to risk any kind of breakout or reaction to a new product. For hair, visit your hairdresser and have the split ends removed. If you want a drastic change of colour, this will probably need to be done in stages which can take a number of months so it’s worth getting onto it early. From there you can maintain the cut and colour by attending regular hairdressing appointments, and using the right products in between visits. Have your teeth whitened Your wedding day is one of the happiest days of your life, chances are you’ll be smiling- a lot! Have your teeth whitened so that you can smile with pride, any dentist can do this and it’s not as pricey as you might think. If you want or need more extensive dental work doing then again this can take time so visit the dentist early on when you first get engaged to give yourself enough time. Go to dance lessons Your appearance is one thing, but your demeanour and confidence levels are another. If one thing that scares you about your wedding is having to do the first dance with all eyes on you and your partner, why not book some dance lessons? Not only is it a fun thing to do with your husband to be, but you’ll go into it on the day with much more confidence.
