Dreaming of summer Celebrations

Now that the dreaded month of January (I go through phases of loving and hating it) We can all start to look towards the rest of the year! I can feel Spring approaching... or am I just being optimistic!? 

So now that the New year is well and truly underway the Hub's and I have started to put together an outline of what our year will look like in terms of life goals, travels and time with friends. Its a big year for celebrations as the Hubs turns 40 along with the majority of his closest friends and we have decided to mark the occasion by inviting everyone to our Villa in Spain for a weekend of fun and frolics. ​

Party planning scratches all of my creative itches, I get to create something beautiful and fun and share it with our closest friends. And it always includes lots and lots of flowers. 
So whilst going through some ideas of what this years party could look like, I remembered that I hadn't shared these images from one of the aforementioned gatherings with you... I wouldn't want to deprive you of peonies, that would just be rude!

For this particular weekend I was much more scaled back than usual. I remember that i'd not long come back from Italy and was on a tight schedule so I instead choose to focus on a more downscale affair. I arranged some beautiful peonies with some pink and white roses in some vintage wedge wood footed bowls and laid them across the table and set the look with some pink dinner candles in gold candle stick holders. We arranged a beautiful table on the terrace for the girls, and let the guys roam free! As the sunset it was really quite a beautiful affair.
