The last time we visited Rome and the Vatican city was over 10 years ago. I remember being absolutely blown away with how beautiful it was It truly is no less beautiful today. The history and architecture is so incredible, it really stands out as one of the most beautiful city in the world We tool a long walk in the sun to our favourite places. The first thing I wanted to re visit was Castel Sant'Angelo With its majestic and beautiful architecture, its somewhere that really stuck with me when ever I would think of our first visit here Next we headed over to the Vatican city. An absolute must on your to see list if you visiting Rome. A truly incredible place, prepare to be totally over whelmed by the astonishing architecture of St. Peter’s Basilica And don't forget to see the Swiss guard. From the Vatican city, we choose to loosen the schedule and see where the roads led us as we had plans for afternoon tea the next day Funnily enough they lead us to Gelato... and a place where even the ice cream parlor is a work of art The thing with Rome is that you cant help but to stumble upon amazing things to see and do at every turn. For me, everything seems in such close proximity and easily accessible I Highly recommend stumbling across the piazza navona and watching the locals and tourists going about their day We found our way to the pantheon, another of our favourite things to see. Definitely a sight you CANNOT miss in Rome, the Pantheon is the only ancient Roman temple to survive the millennia virtually intact. The architecture will blow your mind, and you will need a few minutes just to sit in the piazza (one of my favorites in Rome) and take in the awe inspiring sight before heading inside. Against the backdrop of more modern architecture, its really a site to see
