After Christmas, Easter is my favourite holiday. What's not to love, spring blooms, pastel shades, bunny rabbits and the overriding feeling that new things are coming!
I thought you might enjoy seeing last years Easter efforts, it might help inspire your own Easter tablescape...
Nothing says Easter and spring to me as much as going bat sh*t crazy at the florist. Like I need any excuses! I spend weeks thinking up an appropriate Easter tablescape and ways to make every detail super cute
As my sister and nephew were visiting us from England for the break we planned a lovely Easter Sunday lunch
The week before Easter we had taken a trip to Paris so we could not resist bring back some or my favourite macrons from laduree. If haven't ever tried them, you must immediately. You'll thank me.
Iv also just discovered that they ship these to the UK... luckily I live in Spain (my waist line wouldn't be able to take it) This year I also took my first attempt at an Easter wreath using olive branches and mimosa from our garden (gosh I'm so lucky and thankful to live in a county where I have olive trees and mimosa galore)
Whilst we were in Paris my husband and I took and hour to separate to buy each other Easter eggs. We had no idea we had both bought from the same store... again the absolutely gorgeous laduree (have I mentioned it's my favourite!)
Well OK, I may have gone on and on about how beautiful their eggs were, dropping hints of the biggest kind...
For table favours we also brought back some mini boxes of chocolates from laduree
For the tablescapes itself, I wanted something fresh and springy. For floral arrangements I used a selection of pink roses (Esperance) white roses (Ecuadorian vendella) , and some yellow roses. I also added in yellow carnations and freesias and pink Dahlias. A few white hydrangeas and we have our finished arrangements
As we were spending the week at home, the whole house got the floral treatment. Roses everywhere...
These eggs are just insanely cute!
As well as my lovely egg surprise, the hubs also bought me the most beautiful laduree box filled with all my favourite treats including the most beautiful laduree candle and some Jo Malone goodies. To add to my collection he got me some Jo Malone walnut scrub, and the limited edition herb garden perfume.
Finally, it's just a not Easter without and Easter tree... don't you agree? Belle Xx
