Life in lockdown
If you keep up with me on Instagram, you'll know that like most of you, I've spent my days during these crazy times of lock down pulling our home apart and putting it back together again.
I have organised and re organised and cleaned every possible inch. For me, its the been the perfect distraction from the craziness around us, and all of the anxiety such crazy times bring.
Rather than focus on the negatives of life in lock down, we chose to focus on the positives of which there have been many!
Lock down has meant that we have finally been in one place for over 2 months now, without travel, frequent trips back to the UK or moving between our 2 homes. This has really been a blessing and a much needed opportunity to enjoy a slower and simpler pace to life. Don't get me wrong, I really do miss travel and the constant cancellations to our travel plans are so frustrating. But in the same breath its quite nice to have some distractions taken away. I tend to behave like a child in a sweet shop where travel is concerned and just can't say no! No matter how much I need routine.
We spend our days (when the hub's is not working) in the garden planting things and watching them grow, and drinking daiquiris by the pool. With no where to go and no one to see, we've taken the time to do things that have been mounting on our to do lists. We painted old furniture, started a kitchen garden, fixed broken things and had a massive un clutter.
I even took a break from my little blog (sorry guys, I'm back and I appreciate all your messages)
I have always appreciated life's blessings but during this time more than ever. To be able to lock down in such a beautiful and idyllic place was so so appreciated.
I hope lock down has been OK for you all and that you manged to find positives within your situation?

To be honest, the very first week of this lock down makes me scared and crazy but I was able to cope up by the help of my kids and my husband. I actually learned a lot of things these days and I become more appreciative and grateful in everything.

While I have gotten some things done around my house since this started, I have also been way over my head in work and kids! I do miss getting out so much!

It's the best time to reflect and also do some new hobbies. Maybe do gardening or interior design? Also, do yoga and meditate!

The pictures are so lovely organized on the wall that way. I liked the time to organize and get things in order that normally we don't have time to do.
