For Easter this year we hosted a couple of small gatherings at our home, which meant that I was able to create some creative new tablescapes. I love to challenge myself to achieve something new and different and absolutely love the creative the back terrace for one of the gatherings.
process. Its even better when we get to share it with the people we love. This year I chose to year
I took some inspiration from some bud vases that I purchased from Petersham nurseries in Convent garden (actual new favourite shop and restaurant) and also some tree branches from the cork trees in our garden.
Whilst in New York last year we visited a restaurant called palma (I wrote about it here) which had hundreds of beautiful blooms in bud vases everywhere, so this was also a source of inspiration. I wanted to create a fresh, delicate and spring like vibe. I also had the cutest maxi dress from Asos that would work perfectly with the theme (self confessed event dresser over here)
I arranged creamy ranunculus (the delicate layers of their petals made them perfect for my theme) along with their buds, bunny grass (perfect Easter foliage, even in name) and garden roses to bud vases along the table, along with hyacinths, daffodils and Jasmine from the garden. I kept the plates very clean and simple in white and clear glass stemware.
I was pleased that it came out completely different to very pink theme I created last and the pastel theme from the year before
Easter for me is the perfect excuses to pull together a pretty, spring-inspired, tablescape year after year. It is time for me when all I want to do is spend time with people I love, always feels like the perfect reason to pull out all the stops and throw our doors wide open to our family members and friends.
And whats even more perfect about this particular tables cape is that its totally budget friendly. Using items found foraging, and creating a delicate floral arrangement with bud vases really gives you more for your money without compromising on aesthetics
Happy Easter to you all
