The hubb's and I decided to take a road trip last minute from our home in Spain to Portugal. Just a couple of hours on the road and we can officially be on Portuguese soil,
seems like an adventure begging to be taken and after all we do love a good road trip
The first and longest stop of the trip was Lisbon
We quickly dropped off our bags to our hotel, freshened up and hit the town.
Whilst searching for accommodation in Lisbon I came across this really useful site which made the search so much easier and although we stayed at a hotel this time, id definitely used all the rooms in the future.
Ever since spying the azule tiles on pinterest, its been high on my must visit list.
We spent the first day walking in the sun, chatting, eating and than eating some more. Its the perfect way to spend a first day in a new city and get to know it a little better, especially when it as so last minute there wasn't much time for research
Its such a pretty city, full of cobbled little streets and character by the bucket load.
We found our way down through Alfamas winding little streets – the area was being decorated for the Festas do Santo António that happens during June, so was covered in colourful bunting and makeshift bars.
Before stumbling upon some antique book stalls and more colourful tiled houses
We found the famous A Vida Portugesa, which specialises in traditional Portuguese products, so you’ll find anything from brightly coloured tins of vintage looking sardines to books, soap, chocolate, stationery and other design products. It’s a must-visit!

Ah, Lisbon, looks great! I'm hoping to visit it end of this month!
