Things to do Unlike most markets, they aren't too pushy which really helps when your trying to get a good look at all the interesting thing they have on offer. Look out for yummy teas and spices Visit the medina Definitely go shopping in the medina (market). Its a really interesting and visual place to see. There are so many things to do... have a spot of lunch, see some of the local tradesmen working on their craft and its amazing for shopping. They expect you to haggle, so don't disappoint them. The Majorelle Jardins Gardens once owned by YSL. A lovely place to stroll around in the morning and take in all of the intersting design features and of course the gardens. I wrote a more in depth post here Lunch spots Nomad A really lovely place just off the medina (main market) square. The Food is excellent, Get a table on the roof for some incredible views of marrakech. And you shouldn't need a reservation. Le Royal Mansour Le Royal Mansour is just the most stunning hotel. We took our friend for her birthday for afternoon tea. It's a great way to see the hotel which really IS something too see and the afternoon tea was really cute (they do a Moroccan themed one). More pictures on my previous post here La mamounia La Mamounia has the most incredible, lovely gardens. And cocktails and lunch on the patio are not to be missed. Its open to non-residents and actually just lovely to have a walk through as its so beautiful Cafe des espice Cafe des espice is another super cute place for a chilled out lunch... again head to the rooftop for a table and watch the world go by while sipping on a cocktail or enjoying lunch. Especially lovely at sunset Dinner El Fenn El Fenn is the most stylish boutique hotel, with its own resident tortoise (This delighted me to no end) Dinner and cocktails on the roof is a must for views of the Atlas mountains. Totally worth checking out. We are staying here on our next trip (and we did, see here), so I will no doubt have an update coming your way soon... Comptoir Beautiful restaurant (french Moroccan styling) - after dinner, they have a belly dancing show (they have a lot of this kind of thing in Marrakech, this is one is one of the least tacky ones) Its actually quite funny and something to see. If it's not your thing leave before it starts Jad Mahal Jad Mahal is another fabulously decadent spot for dinner. It turns into quite the party afterwards too so a great place if your looking to make a night of it. I wrote about it in more detail here I hope you find some useful tips here and hope you love Marrakesh as much as I do. Do let me know if you try any these places out. Id be delighted to know your thoughts
