So, I explained in my previous post that we had visited Madrid previously, and didn't come away loving it. So visit this was my second chance to love it, or at least like it a little more than I had! Its certainly a different experience visiting it in the summer as opposed to the winter. Its a much nicer place to take a stroll about when the sun is out and city is definitely more alive at this time of year. So if you had the choice of time of year to visit, id definitely recommend summer over winter. We found a new area on explore on this trip too. El Retiro Park is a really lovely area, which also leads to one of my favourite discovery's from our Madrid trip... The Palacio de Cristal! A stunning 18th century crystal conservatory full of Victorian (unusual for this part of the world) style and charm. The way it reflects the light is incredible and definitely worthy of the gram We stumbled upon the cutest little restaurant/ tea room whilst out shopping. Its located on the top floor of a shop (which was actually very cute too) with a roof garden called El Jardin secreto festooned with beautiful flowers and plants! It had some of the prettiest deserts iv seen in a long time, which naturally we couldn't say no to!
