With very tired and blurry eyes, we made our way to the beach to see something we might never get to see again! One very early morning, 5 am to be exact... (which in holiday time is more like 3am) to a very exciting phone call from our G.E.M. Andrew. We were going to be very, lucky and get to see some baby turtles actually hatch! Although we were there to see the turtles hatch, we actually got a second show as part of the deal... the most incredible sunrise! It was literally every shade of red and orange you could imagine. With the help of Con Dao National Park authorities, The Six Senses Con Dao have restored the resort’s beach to an ideal egg-hatching habitat for endangered green sea turtles. Some guests have even been lucky enough to watch a mama sea turtle lay her eggs right on the resort premise. Once the hatch-lings had hatched we all lined up to see the turtles make their way to their future. Some of the little green creatures were just as sleepy as us! It was quite the thing to see... we had to pinch ourselves to were able to witness something so special. Once the very last green turtle had hatched and made their way into the ocean we made our way to breakfast! I ordered the biggest Vietnamese coffee they had - if you haven't ever tried one, you really must! The strongest coffee dripped over condensed milk is an absolutely wonderful thing

I would literally drink the biggest cup of Vietnamese coffee just to see those little beauties come into their ocean life. What a very wonderful experience to witness that.
