After a lovely morning visiting the Belem tower and strolling around the city, our wanderings took us to Mosteiro dos Jerónimos. Again, the touristy spots are super busy unless you get there early so we chose instead to to admire from afar and continue with our discovery's We took a detour through some backstreet and stumbled upon the most incredible Portuguese tiling detail along the way to destination. The kind that encourages you forgive your husband for making you walk miles randomly in the heat (PS he does this A LOT) The tiling in Portugal is so incredibly beautiful and detailed, that you cant help but start to daydream about how you could make it work in your own home Eventually, we arrived at the destination we set out to - The LX Factory. Its (an old thread and fabric factory re purposed into a creative space) And the first thing we did was head to nearest (but just so happened to be the absolute cutest) cafe we could. Cafe da Fabrica is just a little pocket of cuteness. Cool decor, great coffee and even better food. I was delighted to find such a cool little place to rest up my tired from walking all over Lisbon bones. Id say its just the perfect spot for breakfast or lunch, or a a bit of people watching if you take a seat outside There were so many options for lunch at the LX Factory, unfortunately as its only really socially acceptable to have one lunch a day we will clearly just have to pay Lisbon another visit Its not just lunch you'll find here though. There are vintage shops, A super cool bookstore and independent boutiques. I'm told that on weekend nights there are parties and concerts. It also has some of the most interesting and beautiful graffiti art iv ever seen You could happily get lost for hours at LX Factory, and I feel we only brushed the sides from our visit... reason number 2 to come back
