Summers in Spain, and especially Sotogrande are nothing short of magic. The temperature rises, chiringuito's open all along the beaches and the tourists descend. And things have just gotten even more exciting with the opening of The beach La Reserva The first and only private beach in Spain, with sand imported from Cadiz, The Beach is set within the hills of La Reserva, Sotogrande and is the first time that a man-made lagoon has a full sandy bottom... cool or what? Its quite the talk of the town, as you can imagine. Something so incredible created out of nothing is no mean feat. I was naturally very intrigued to see it for myself. We made our way past the olive trees, over the palm tree lined entrance we were shown to our super stylish sun loungers for the day. We settled in with a couple of cocktails and the freshest fruit id ever seen, for a day of total relaxation and indulgence You are completely waited up at the beach. Drinks and snack brought to your lounger so you don't have to move a muscle... so no excuses for leaving with a tan. Unless you are me... who's skin just refuses to cooperate with the sun (you'll always find me under the umbrella) Should you want to take a break from relaxation, there is so much more to do. The sports lagoon offers a perfect setting in which to practice water sports ranging from kayak and paddle boards to SUP boards and Mirage Eclipse water bikes. Sounds like work to me... Rather than get busy with the sports we chose to take a stroll to the restaurant which is right by the lagoons edge. The perfect mix of style and laid back Andalusian flair, its the most gorgeous spot. Defiantly worth leaving the comfort of your longer for We ordered in another round of cocktails, mine was a Kate Moss... how fabulous dahhhling We ate the most delicious LA roll (with almadraba tuna, salmon, avocado) to start Before moving onto to the sweet rice with shrimp and tuna. All as delicious as they look. The perfect end to the most blissful day Xoxo
